All aspects of endourology (surgery through a telescope which does not require open operations ) including treatment for prostate (TURP), bladder cancers (TURBT) urethral strictures (narrowing of water pipe). Kidney and ureteric stone (PCNL & URS) are available. Intracorporeal lithotripsy (breaking of stones through endoscopies) using the pneumatic lithotripsy avoids open surgery for ureteric & renal stones. High class imported equipments with established track record are already available at Anand and newer methods using lasers/ vapourisation will be made available soon.

The Direx is a versatile machine with a proven safety and efficacy. This enables a vast majority of kidney and ureteric stones to be treated without requiring anaesthesia. Most patients tolerate the procedure even without analgesia. The positioning, focusing and delivery of shock waves is all well controlled with safety cutoffs to prevent damage by human error.
